One of the things I like about roller derby is the irony that whilst there are all the trappings of theatricality (name, costume and make-up of a derby persona) there's not all the amateur dramatics that goes with so many professional sports.
This time teams from Stockholm were in town. The Maiden Grrders beat the Swedish B team pretty convincingly, 285 to 69.
But the bout between Stockholm A and the Irn Bruisers was nail-chewingly close, neck and neck most of the game and the home team eventually lost 122 to 120.
